No, I am not talking about engines of the Bugatti Chiron, neither am I talking about Fighter Jet engines! I already know they are fast!
What I am talking about is a virtual, complex system of networks and programs that exists in the realm of the internet and dominates as the first point of contact for all users when they want to access information/contents in its unbounded universe!
I’m talking about Google, Yahoo, Bing and many other Search Engines!
Search Engine?
Search Engines are softwares on the internet that facilitates an end-user’s search enquiry by searching through a database of information!
Among the Search Engine mountains lies the most famous entity – Google, who takes up 70% of the market share, followed by Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, etc.
Search Engines uses a complex system piled with compound algorithms, to pull out information from the gazillion chunks of data lying on the flat empty ground of the limitless virtual field (take a moment to imagine that)
They employ (funny word to use ain’t it) workers called Spiders or Crawlers to search the net automatically, then process and index contents from web pages.
These collected data are then used to rank each of these web pages and determine the ranking outcome of a search enquiry.

Indeed search engine dominates the globe now. With the innovation of search engine it definitely does help us in our daily life making it easier and more convenient. There are many uses of search engine it not only does help in many area directly but also holistically. With search engine information gets to spread around easily and immediately. With such valuable information, business leaders or even customer can make more informed decision. Search engine also allows people to know more about their competitors which promotes or even encourage innovation of new product breaking through the limit such as Apple, Samsung and Huawei. Therefore search engine is so powerful that one should not overlook.

Hey Jason, thanks for the informative post on SEO. Just as you mentioned, search engine is one way that many companies can boost their businesses but at the same time, I understand that certain companies tries to cheat the system to increase their ranking on search engines. It is often known as the Black Hat SEO but of course, these companies efforts do not last long. The seven steps to SEO Fitness would come in handy for me one day so thanks for the information.
